Playing around with versatile color pencils I came out with this illustration of a fat guy looking out of the window to a serene day. Since it seemed too obvious, I added a string. So…what about thinking out of the box now? :)

Well, this illustration / doodle just started with a very light pencil outline and gained details in the making. I enjoy using the bare pencil as a sharp medium to give volume with defined strokes. This way I can give some extra reality with skin imperfection or with that horrified grin on the poor guy’s face.

Looking at this illustration I realize this must be a blue-pencil period or something. Well, actually it’s more of a doodle, which I scribbed during a meeting. I love the blurred effect of these pencils, though: at the same time they allow you to mark your drawings and illustrations with very strong and dark lines, adding a lot of volume.

I would like to collect here some drawings and illustrations of mine…let’s start with this unpleasant guy.
